Will Wonders Never Cease?

So apparently now this is my blog, not the family blog.  Stuart Dean insists that he never updates this blog and that it shall now be mine forever and always. I would like to point out, however, that he did post the journal before this one.... Huh.  Isn’t he the internet guru who lives on the internet in the evenings while I slave away cooking, cleaning, and dealing with a cranky Xander Kai?  He plays with his games, he writes his games, never mind that I have things I would like to be doing, like writing.  I have so many things swirling around in my head recently and just no apparent time to write them down.  However, I am beginning to devise a plan wherein I can write more.  It just means less television and no sleep....not that we’re getting much anyway...I’m not sure we’ve told everyone, but here is the link to my writing website if you’re interested in looking.  Not too much there right now, but I hope, fingers crossed, more information will be forthcoming.  I am entering a contest today with some of my savings.  I could win $2,000.  I don’t see it happening, but what’s the point in wanting something if you don’t try for it, eh?

So, on the Xander Kai front…

He’s grinning…

And roaring...(soundlessly, but the open mouth is half the battle...)

And smiling…

We wake up to a coo-ing baby and go to sleep to a coo-ing baby.  Things are getting much more exciting.  He’s even rolled onto his side a few times when laying on his back...mostly when hugging his fuzzy platypus given to him by someone in Australia.  When he’s on his stomach he rolls onto his back, too!  It’s quite exciting and we sent John and Gayle a video of it!

On another front, he loves being outside and going on walks, even though this photo makes him look not-too-excited.  I believe that was because of the hat, not the activity smile

We’ve started a Saturday morning family routine.  We get in the car with Xander Kai and Gwyn around 9:00 and head down to the “wall.” The four of us take about an hour long walk, then on our way home, we go to the library where Xander Kai gets to check out one or two books which we come home and read.  It’s quite enjoyable and we’re looking forward to it being more exciting when he’s really picking out his own books and reading!

I think that’s about it, though I’ll probably think of something later and will have to come back and post more.

Hope everyone has a wonderful, productive week!

Wow an update! Alexander has changed so much since the last one. He’s looking even cuter! And more like his mama! I know it’s hard to find time for the blogging but it’s so nice to look back on it. Love to all of you guys! H, A & R
