Clocks

Just as I was about to hit the sack last night, I cruised past Ferozans journal… and she reminded me that its BST.. British Summer Time (aka Daylight Savings)… clocks go forward 1 hour..

OH OH! My parents had to be up at 5am to make their Euro tour at 6:30am… I forgot to tell them, so they might have been late and missed the tour… and I had no way of contacting them. doh!  So I worried about that all night… But nobody rang me in the morning so they must have made it ok..

Parents arrive in London…

Well, my parents arrive in London, Heathrow at 5:30am tomorow morning.. STRESS! As much as I want my folks here (well I think they should save the money for retirement but thats another story), its a lot of STRESS!! STREESSS! The stress monster arrived…
Hard to say why the stress monster arrived, but I none the less, feel a bit stressed out by it all.
Anyway, it will be good to see the folks again!! Even if they are only here for two days, then off on a whirlwind 20 countries in 10 minutes European trip.. then back to England for tours to Scotland, Ireland, etc…
anyway, I know I should have an early night tonight, but I know it aint gonna happen…

Humour

Well… I got a verbal warning the other day because of my sense of humour. (Its sharp, sarcastic, scathing and dry, you probably get the picture)…
Well it doesnt go down well in departmental meetings. oops.
And it still pisses me off that I got a warning for my sense of humour! GRRRRR *not a happy camper* and I’ll come clean, its not the first time I’ve had a warning for it.. My last job, I got a warning for it too.. And several aquiantances have commented about it.. and it goes on..
OK! I GET IT! My sense of humour is not everyones cup of tea, I cant exactly change it…
GRRRRR!!!
* stu in pissed off mode, listening to Robbie Williams ‘Let Me Entertain You’… smile

London Tubes

AAaargh. Tubes delayed. Central line still down.

Coming home from work today sucked bigtime!

No central, so I’m using my alternate route (one of about 3). Victoria is kaput, its slow and paaaacked. takes ages.. so I get to my interchange. its delayed 10 minutes. its packed. I get to Stratford.. doors dont open.. sit there for 20 minutes.. no doors opening. passengerrs getting agro…

we hear ‘This is a security announcement, please leave the station’.. yeah but we cant even get out of the train… Next thing coppers with full automatic guns run past! aaaaargh, some people panic. Doors not opening… ‘This is a security announcment, please leave the station immediatly’ yes, open the fucking doors and we will!

aaaargh. doors open, alert over. everyone is pissed off.

me included.

when one tube stuffs out, they all get stuffed out!

aaaaaaaaaaargh

Bikes Bikes Bikes and the Cricket World Cup

Well, today is a faaaantastic day here in London, the weather is absolutly beautiful. So much so I had to make the best use of it I could. I hopped on the mountain bike and rode off to Epping Forest, damn what a great day out. Everyone else had the same idea, heaps of people were out and about, lots of other cyclists, many horse riders and several walkers.

oh and lots of motorbikers…

Sitting outside the pub at the top of the hill in the middle of Epping Forest, it was like a veritable Fashion Show. Guys on motorbikes kept riding up and down..

There was also quite an array of MTB’s.. even a bloke on a Cannondale Scalple with lefty fork! Very nice looking bike..

The most amusing thing I saw out there was a gui cruising past in an immaculate black Mercedes Benz, strapped to the back towbar in the bike rack was… A Saracen! aaugh! You cant give Saracens away, they are a big POS! Ahem bike nazi mode isnt good.. at least he was out in the sun and not in the pub…

Also the majority of bikes out there today were all disc’d up! An interesting trend.. (Not like I’d part with my disc brakes...)

My sitbones are mega-sore and I’m walking like i have no knees, but its all worth it, just to get that brief hit of sun and fresh air! Bring on the summer, quickly!

I’m not enve a Cricket fan but, WHOO! Go Australia! Who managed to crap all over India in the World Cup final and smashed 4 records in the one match!

And West Ham won in the Premier League, sweeet, we are just outside the relegation zone now. (For how long remains to be seen..)

Please mind the gap between the train and the platform

Yes.. we have blogging.. web-logging. weblog.. well whatever you want to call an online journal.. We have BLOG!
ok, so it took a bit of setting up, but we are here now…
In other news, we had a huuge protest here in London… rally organisers claim half a million people… police claim two hundered thousand… quite a difference.. Quite a few people from work were going… I planned on going, but ended up doing washing.
The inconvenience of life eh.
One last thing to note, Spring is definatly here! YESSSSSSS! Today we had fantastic weather in London, wonderfull and sunny, little breeze. Amazing stuff.
